Soriano is an Expensive Injury
When the Cubs signed Alfonso Soriano to his 8 year 136 million dollar contract in the offseason - Cub fans were pumped up. I can remember several saying how great Alfonso would be and so on. My first response to them everytime was…
“Give him a couple months and he’ll be hurt.”
Well, Soriano didn’t wait a couple months to start with the injury bug. He injured his hamstring during Monday nights game and will be out a few days at least. We all know how sensitive hamstring injuries can be and they typically take a while to heal - so we’ll see what happens next. Even if he misses just a few games it’s like a $500,000+ injury. Now with Aramis, Prior, Wood and Soriano out - this unbelievable team is looking a little depleted, don’t ya think?
