They are falling like we all knew they would. Ryan Dempster blew another game for the Chicago Cubs as they fell to the Astros in 11 innings. They fall a game out of first place to the Milwaukee Brewers and seem to be playing very “unexcited” baseball. We don’t have much else today.  See you tomorrow after another Cubbie loss.

The Cubs took another one on the chin Sunday afternoon losing to the Pirates 10-5.  Even worse news for the Cubbie faithful is the Brewers dominated and moved into a 1 game lead over the Cubs for 1st place.  The Cardinals are just 2 games behind the Cubbies.

So we prepare for a quick 1 game series between Cardinals and Cubs tomorrow at Wrigley.  Here is a little something to make everyone smile.

So I’m driving down the road today not even thinking that the Cub game is on, flipping through the stations, when I hear this horrid sound come from 1290.  It was a noise I know all too well.  You guessed it.  It was Ron Santo making somewhat of a “ahhhwwwwwh man” sound.  I knew immediately that something nasty had just happened to his beloved Cubbies.

Indeed, Dumpster just gave up 5 straight hits in the 9th including a 3 run bomb by Eithier, giving the Dodgers a nice 7-4 lead.  The Cubs now move into a first/second place tie with the Brewers while the Cardinals and Rick Ankiel dominated the Pirates to move within a game.

Lou!!! Isn’t it time for you to do something moronic to ‘motivate’ your team again?  They are playing like crap and your next move is to do something DUMB to get Cub fans going.  Come on Lou.  Tonight is the night to erupt, kick something, get tossed, lash out at the money…

Tonights loss moves the Brewers to just .5 games out and the defending World Series Champion Cardinals to just 1 game out and tied in the loss column. It just makes me want to sing like all you lovable cub fans.

“Boo Cubs Boo, Boo Cubs Boo, hey Chicago what do ya say, the Cubs are going to LOSE today”
