You all catch wind that the Cubs signed pitcher, Shingo Takatsu earlier this month?  Uh oh.  Look out. Maybe he is going to be Fukudome’s mentor or something.  Even Cub fans agree that this guy is a minor leaguer at best.  Yuck!

Not only has it been 100 years since the Chicago Cubs won the World Series, it also has been 100 years since they’ve won successive division or National League championships.

So, are all the planets aligned now?

“Let’s hope so,” general manager Jim Hendry said. “Let’s hope we change that.

“But I’d rather have this call in a month or so. We’re still trying to piece together one or two things.”
