I know what the problem is!!!

Alfonso Soriano, Game Updates — By webmaster on Thursday, April 3, 2008

Cubs lose again. 8-2 at home to the Brewers. But like Master Lou, I know the answer - BAT Soriano to leadoff!  Yeah, that’s it.  That’s the problem.  Him batting 2nd is why you are 0-2.  Check out his quote:

“It’s something I’ve been thinking about since the end of Spring Training, and we’ll go with it,” Piniella said. “Soriano is running better. We’ll put him in the leadoff hole, where he’s more comfortable, and let him hit there.”

Whew… I was getting worried.  Now the Cubs should be just fine!

On another note, anyone want to help us out and blog on Cubs Suck Club after Cub loses?  Not every Cubs loss… But anytime there is some juicy material?  Comment or email us at webmaster@cubssuckclub.com if interested.

Cubs Lose opener in sucky fashion

Game Updates, Kerry Wood, Kosuke Fukudome — By webmaster on Tuesday, April 1, 2008

It was the perfect start to the perfect season. Everyone in Chicago was geared up for this years so called, “contenders”, in the NL Central. Zambrano pitched a great game but left with some kind of an injury. Wow, what’s new… A Cub with a minor injury. The game was knotted up at zeros going into the ninth inning. Where is that ferocious Cubbie offense at? Kerry Wood, the newly acclaimed closer came into the game to keep in scoreless. Ooooops, Wood gave up an immediate 3. Time to start the “closer questions” in Cubbyville again.

Fukudome gave the Cubs a little false hope in the bottom of the ninth by smashing a 3 run bomb. False hope is about all that was as the BrewCrew got to Bob Howry in the top of the 10th and won the game 4-3. o-1 start for the Cubs… It’s going to be a fun year everyone!
