2009 Playoffs begin without the Cubs
What’s better Cub haters and Cub fans?
a) Winning the NL Central and getting swept in the first round of the playoffs?
b) Just sucking in the regular season and saving yourself the embarrassment in the post-season?
That’s a tough question. All I know is the Cubs aren’t dancing in October this year. So what team will Cubs Suck Club jump on board and cheer for? Well, I think that answer is easy. The Cubs hate the Whitesox, Cardinals, Brewers and Astros. With the Cardinals being the only team left – let’s all jump on board and root for the Redbirds. How bad would that burn to be a Cubs fan and see the STL Cardinals win 2 World Series in 3-4 years. Ouch. Another angle is, remember last year, when the Cubs got swept and completely embarrassed by the Dodgers? How would this reflect on the Cubs if the Dodgers just got blasted this year? Moral of the story – if you don’t have a team in the postseason and hate the Cubs – cheer for the Cardinals!
