It’s about time that Jim Hendry (The GM of the Cubs Suck) got fired! The announcement came out today that Jim Hendry is done as the Cubs GM. So what does this mean Cub fans or haters? Will the Cubs be contenders in 2012 under new general manager leadership? Who will the replacement Cubs GM be? See ya Jim Hendry. As a Cub Hater we all hate to see you go!

Carlos Zambrano Retires from the Cubs – and Baseball

Apparently Carlos Zambrano, the “idiotic” pitcher from the Chicago Cubs has retired. He has cleaned out his locker and retired from the Cubs and baseball all together.

We don’t have a lot on this story yet. But it’s a perfect ending to this Cubs / Zambrano love hate relationship. Zambrano may come back and play for another team some day – but he sure won’t play for the Cubs again.

Ryan Dempster Imitates Legendary Harray Caray

As the days go, the pages continue to be written about how bad the Chicago Cubs organization sucks. Is Zambrano finally realizing what the rest of the world already knows? This team is EMBARRASSING to the rest of the world of baseball. To us it’s humorous. To fans, owners, players – it’s embarrassing. Ok first things first! SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! The Cardinals took care of business this weekend in St. Louis and swept the Cubs.

Pujols Back to Back Walkoffs

It’s no secret that Albert Pujols has not been himself this year. But this series against the Cubs he was alive! Saturday’s game was a hard fought game. The Chubbies showed a little fight. Bottom 11 rolls around and Albert Pujols comes to the plate. BOOOOOOM. Outta here. Walkoff homerun. Cubs lose!

So after this game manager of the Cubs, Quade, or whatever the heck his name is said he wouldn’t let Pujols beat them again. At least not for 24 hours. Ha. Pujols comes up AGAIN in Sundays game. Nobody on. Nobody out. Game tied in the bottom of the 10th. So timeout here. I just laid out the situation for you. What do you do if you are manager?

Make it very very clear to your pitcher to NOT give Pujols anything to hit?
Intentionally walk him because you know you will be roasted if Pujols beats you again?
Groove a fastball and hope for the best?

Ding Ding Ding. #3 is the winner. Pujols destroyed a perfect hitters pitch over the fences for his second walkoff in as many days. Take a look!

So after the game the fiery Carlos Zambrano clearly wasn’t happy with how things turned out for the sorry Cubs. Listen in to how embarrassed he is with this 2011 Cubs team.

Cubs Are the Biggest Joke on April Fools Opening Day

Was it a coincidence that Major League Baseball scheduled the Chicago Cubs opening day on APRIL FOOLS DAY? I don’t think so. The most laughable team in the entire league opened up at home against the “expected” worst team in baseball – Pittsburgh Pirates. And in typical CUBBIE fashion – they got beatdown by the Pirates. 6-3 was the final score… You Cub fans wish this was an April Fools Day joke but it’s not. They did. Really. Lose to the Pirates on Opening Day. YIKES.

So 2011 could be another terrible year for the Cubs. P.S. – they are losing again today 3-0 to the Pirates. HAHA. 0-162 a legit possibility?

Vandelism of Harry Caray Statue

You guys all saw this from last month didn’t you? Somebody “defaced” and vandalized the Harry Caray statue. While we don’t promote this type of behavior here at Cubs Suck Club – we do think it’s freakin funny. Check out the vandalized Harry Caray statue below. Way to go Sox fans (errrrr) grow up Sox fans. Cubs Ramirez and Silva Fighting in Spring Training Game

Come on mannnnnn. So how would you like to be Mike Quade (or whatever his name is) about right now. Not only is he the new manager of the suckiest team in baseball – the Chicago Cubs. But he has to deal with all the immature, childish, antics that the Cubs pull each and every year.

This year – the Cubs players didn’t waste any time. Today, in Spring Training game number 4 they got into a little brawl within their own Clubhouse. Doesn’t this happen each and every year. So today, Carlos Silva, the starting pitcher for the Cubs – had a sucky first inning. He couldn’t get guys out and everyone was making errors on top of that. He gave up 6 runs in the inning. After the inning, words must have been said, because him and Aramis Ramirez got into a little scuffle in the dugout. What a joke? This is spring training and these characters can’t even get along yet.

So are things smoothed over now between Errormiss and Silva? Who freakin knows. The only thing for sure about the 2011 Cubs is that they truly indeed do – suck.

It’s going to be a fun year – I can tell already!

Garza is a Cub

Matt Garza is a Chicago Cub. Does this make them World Series favorites? NOPE. Does this make the NL Central favorites? NOPE. Does this even make the Cubs better? BARELY. Matt Garza is a career 42-44 pitcher with close to a 4.00 ERA. Get it through your skulls Cub fans – HE IS NOT THAT GOOD. He is a mediocre number 3 pitcher who will pitch right around .500 baseball for ya. Great for you.

And I’m already sick of hearing the argument about Garza pitching in the AL East and the NL Central is way easier. BS. BS. BS. I’m not saying this is the worst move the Cubs have ever made but it’s far from the best. It’s just a move. Someone please enlighten me on whats so great about Matt Garza going to the Cubs.

Speaking of Garza to the Cubs. We need a new Matt Garza nickname “Cubs Suck Style”. Matt Garbaga… Ok that was weak. Need your help haters!

Kerry Wood Back to the Cubs

Oh my goodness. Say it ain’t say. Didn’t Kerry Wood have enough of the torture before? Didn’t the Cubs have enough of Kerry Wood in previous years? Rumor has it that Kerry Wood and the Chicago Cubs are close to reuniting! This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. We will fill you all in as more information becomes available.

Edit: This indeed did come true. Kerry Wood has signed a one year deal with the Cubs worth an estimated $1.5 million. Have fun with that Cub fans. LOL.

Carlos Pena “should” hit 40+ bombs in the NL Central with his homepark as Wrigley Field. But I’ll believe it when I see it.
