Cub fans need to settle down

Sam Zell, Wrigley Field — By webmaster on Monday, March 10, 2008

So all the Cub fans and bloggers have been enraged over the last couple weeks regarding Sam Zell and his plans to “sell” the naming rights to Wrigley Field.  I have one thing to say to you all.  GET OVER IT!  For real, it’s a freakin stadium.  Who cares what the heck it’s called.  I’m hoping for “Verizon Wireless Field”!  Start worrying about your team and how you can win a World Series and quit worrying about what “the dump” will be named.

Sam, do your thing and make some bank!  Sell, Sell, Sell!!!  The sheep will continue to roll into “Motorola Stadium” as long as you serve ice cold beverages and have hot chicks in the bleachers.

End of rant!

p.s. - Deadspin put up a nice piece on this a week or so ago.
