Cardinals and Cubs at the Dump
Once again the Cardinals and Cubs are set to square off at Wrigley Field. You think the Cubs have the bad taste of a Redbird sweep out of their mouth yet? That’s exactly what happened the last series these two played – so let’s expect much of the same.
Friday – Carpenter @ Harden: Cardinals win here. Carpenter is dominating and the Cubs just plain can’t hit. Harden has been less than stellar this year so expect a Redbird victory.
Saturday – Thompson @ Lilly: The LONE Cubbie All-Star is facing off against the worst Cardinal started. You SHOULD win a game here Cub fans… Enjoy it.
Sunday Game 1 – Wainwright @ Wells: AW has been lights out lately. Sure Wells has been getting a few wins but I expect the offense to go and hide against Wainwright. Cardinals win.
Sunday Game 2 – Lohse @ Zambrano: Should be a fun one and this is where the real fun begins for us Cub haters. We love seeing Zambrano implode and I expect the Cardinals offense to hit him hard. Pujols will be gearing up for the HR Derby on Monday and take Zambrano yard, not once, but twice. I could even see a 6-6 game going into the 9th only to see the Cubbie bullpen suck it up.

Like your predictions. Hope they pan out.
I’ll be at the ASG festivities, though sadly I will miss the HR derby. Having had the 2 previous weeks off I can’t have both Monday and Tuesday off, so I opted for the ASG and sold my tix for the derby. I thought it would be much more fun to razz the lone Scub (and the sheep who will be there) in the ASG.

accurate predictions. if the cubs don’t win against thompson, then there is small chance of them winning any of these remaining 3 games.

Thank goodness the unlovable losers are dropping to the bottom of the standing. At least my sucky Brewers won’t end up last as they should finish ahead of the Scrubs and Pirates although the Pirates might be iffy.

“roider Pujols”, LOL. The sheep would give their first born child to have “roider Pujols” on the Scubby team. They’re so envious of the Cards that I’m surprised they don’t all have green eyes.
Another sheep comes bleating in all caps like he can shriek us into submission. “DOMANITE THE CARDNALS” LMAO! Sounds like they plan on blowing up the visitors clubhouse. That would be one way to beat them I suppose.

oh look, the flubs earned a split at the dump courtesy of brad thompson and tony larussa. enjoy even winning 2 games flub fans. if this series took place in st. louis you wouldn’t have won a game — not even the gift game. good luck getting over .500 with over 60% of your remaining games on the road.

The Scubs gained only 1 game after a 4 game series. Looks to me like the best team on paper is actually mediocre at best. The sheep and many talking heads predicted that the Losers would have the division all but sewn up by the midway point in the season which, by the way, is one reason I don’t ever listen to either.
Looks like hugescubsfan will have to wait a while for the Scubs to be in “ferst” place and then only if the Cards, Brewers, and Stros all faulter big time.
Don’t get me wrong. I really enjoy the sheep making their predictions. I always enjoy a good laugh. More amusing than their predictions is how they disappear whenever they’re made to look stupid, something they do to themselves on a consistent basis actually.
Sheep are stupid, and the Scubs suck.

I was wondering myself about this”hugecubsfan.” I wonder if it IS CaPSlocK? Perhaps he decided to clean up his act after possibly being in jail after the last Sox/cubs series? I don’t know. I do know some people got arrested at one of the games for fighting. Otherwise, if this is a new “sheep,” hugecubsfsn is a “HUGELOUDMOUTHEDIDIOT!” LOL!
