Personally I think I’ll send sympathy cards to all of my sheep acquaintances who have boasted all season long that the Scubbies were going all the way. The problem with that is that they’ve all disappeared in the last few weeks. Back in the woodwork I assume, already getting themselves psyched up for Opening Day next year. You know, because next year is THE year.

One last time, guys, sorry to mention the cap’n, but last week was my only chance to get back to chicago this year. I know he’s still out there because Webmaster said he still tries to post every so often. He wanted a date and time, and I provided one. If he did see my message, he apparently wimped out just like he did against astrosfan. Like I said, I showed up, and he didn’t! Yeah, CaPSlocK, now who’s the pussy bitch?! typical cub fan-big talk and no balls to back it up! Anyway, again I apologize, guys, and I promise; NO MORE TALK ABOUT the CaP’N! I know you don’t miss him, and neither do I!

haha, that’s pretty funny. I suppose technically a team is “in contention” until they’re mathematically eliminated, but in reality the Cubs were done around July.

i am lovin some of these next year rumors. the giants trading aaron rowand for milton badley straight-up! 5 or 6 teams wanting to make a deal for badley! yeah right, only if the scrubs pay every red cent on his current contract. cave-boy saying if he has another bad year he may retire! not with the yanks and red sox willing to throw cash at head cases.

lol soxfanforever. that ruled. also, I’ve been looking at NSBB (flub message board) and fans are already excited for “next year”, but only if Hendry makes the right offseason moves. Ummm… no. Too many aging and expensive contracts, the Cubs are going to be an even bigger mess in 2010 with no farm system to bail them out. When will fub fans learn? when they haven’t won for 300 years?

it’s great that chicago got shot down for the olympics. it’s too bad for fans from the north-side though. they were really hoping to see some good baseball in chicago in 2016! heck, the team from pago pago would play better ball than the scrubs!

I was just informed that dick stockton and bob brenly are the broadcast team for the cardinals/dodgers playoff series. is that really the best they can do? might as well give us len kasper too. fucking pathetic

Anyway, postseason starts today, and the Scubbies aren’t in (sorry Scubby fans, Brenley doesn’t count). No matter what happens from here on out, we can all celebrate that.
On another note, I’m going to freeze my ass off Saturday night, but I don’t really care. I’ll be there, and all of my Scubby fan acquaintances won’t. Ah yes, life is good.
