Bullpen Blows It
The Cubs wasted a golden opportunity to get a ‘rare’ win out of Jason Marquis on Thursday. Marquis pitched great baseball and quieted some doubters for the time being. We at Cubs Suck Club still believe he was vastly overpaid and it will turn out to be a train wreck - but it was a good start none the less.
The pathetic bullpen managed to blow this Marquis win though; giving up 2 in the 7th and 2 in the 8th. Howry took the loss in this one. So the Cubs lost 2 of 3 to the horrible Reds - nice start! They’ve shown their typical Cub bad habits and just not played good baseball. I’m sure we’ll have more to come. Onto the Brewers series.
