Well, we called it. A Sox sweep of the Cubs… How sad. It’s absolutely unraveling for the Chubbies here. All the trash talk they had for the past two weeks is now GONE! Sox have bragging rights for now. Cubs played some pathetic baseball this past weekend. Errormis decided he would single handedly lose the game on Saturday, that was fun. I’ll leave you with a few tunes we’ve gotten from some Chubby haters…

Those silly Cub fans didn’t buy enough cubbie shirts and hats, not to mention those annoying W flags. Oh, and they needed more blue BELIEVE wrist bands then maybe they might have swept.
On the Cubbie website the poll was how many games will the Cubs win from the Sox, and 65% of them said 5-6. Idiots.

Where are all the trash talkers? Didn’t take long for them to disappear. Even Guest has been kinda quiet. 4 straight. Ouch. I can see them all getting a bit edgy. Gotta love it.

and lets not forget weve all seen the Sox even go to a world series in our lifetimes, cuz the cubs havent even been there since 1945, let alone won one, and everyone thinkin its gonna be a crosstown series, forget it, the last time that happened the sox massacred the cubs (1906)

lol. i am a cubs fan (although I do like the white sox and root for them whenever they do not play the cubs) but come on guys. you’re saying the cubs are absolutely terrible and stuff. they’ve got a great ballclub this year, and were fairly unfortunate last weekend. defensive miscues led to a huge inning by the Sox on Friday, and Ryan Dempster ended up getting 8 ER; he deserved less than half. the Cubs are a good team backed by two of the NL’s best starters in Zambrano and Dempster. Their bullpen with Marmol & Wood is lights out, and their offense is dynamic. Soriano, Ramirez, Lee, Soto, DeRosa, Theriot are all stars. This team has been unquestionably the most impressive team in the NL this season.
Think about it. Many Cubs fans are ignorant and stupid, yes, but the team the organization has put on the field this year has been excellent, and like it or not, they will be a major factor in the divisional race and will most likely be in the playoffs. Make your peace with that.

The division (have I said this before?) is only the beginning. We all know what the Scubs’ record in postseason is, so I won’t even venture there again.
One thing the Scub fateful refuse to do is admit that the CARDS might be a major factor in the divisional race. You all refuse to admit that the Cards are a better team than anyone (including me) thought they would be. You all said at the start of the season that they would soon fall out of the race, and here we are in July, and you’re STILL saying it. You all said that the pitching wouldn’t hold up, and you’re STILL saying it. You refuse to admit that the Cards are keeping pace (and actually gaining) with the mighty Scubs. You’ve already given the division to the Scubs, and the arrogance is flowing freely. I absolutely hate the Scub fateful arrogance. One would think that the Losers have been winners for 100 years instead of perennial also rans.
Make your peace with THAT.

Gee, CARDSFAN really made me think. He really made me think that he or she just put words in people’s mouths. At what point did I refuse to admit the Cardinals were a good ballclub? Prior to the year I thought that they would not be much of a factor in the race, but they have been. I do admit they are a better team than anyone thought. Yes, the Cards are gaining. That’s fine. It will be a close race in what is now one of baseball’s best divisions. And dude, did you not see my first post? I didn’t say the Cubs would even win the division for sure, I just said they would be a major factor and will probably make the playoffs.
Is it right that Cubs fans can have arrogance when talking about the postseason of 2008 when we’re barely into July? No. But the Cubs have been the strongest team in the NL this year, despite their poor play as of late (due to a tremendous amount of injuries of critical players). Soriano, Zambrano, Reed Johnson and Scott Eyre will be back soon. Soriano and Zambrano are 2 of the Cubs best 4 or 5 players.
Say what you want about losing for 100 years or their fans suck or they’re gonna choke or they’re flubs or whatever you wanna say. The Cubs are a quality team in 2008 and they’re the most complete the Cubs have been on the field since probably before any of us were born. If you Cubs-haters can’t admit that they’re one of the best teams in the NL this year then you’re just flat out dumb baseball fans.

Without the smack talk, my comment to you is I truly do not think the cubs will make the playoffs. 2 reasons: #1 I think they’ve peaked too early, and now they’re starting to falter. #2 This, I feel will be the biggest reason. In case you haven’t noticed, with the exception of Pittsburgh, the cubs have trouble beating the teams in their own division. They lost 2 of 3 at Cincinatti the first week of the season; they’ve lost 2 of 3 to St. Louis; they’ve lost 4 of 6 to the Brewers, and they haven’t even played at Milwaukee yet! The division games, as you should know, make up the bulk of the schedule. When St. Louis leapfrogs over you guys, don’t be surprised!

Why are Scub fateful always trying to force their belief in the Losers onto other people?
“Dude”, you’re on a cubs suck site. We don’t care what the Scubs do. We’re here for one thing only, to bash on the Losers. Why is that so hard for the fatfeul to understand? We’re not going to praise the Scubs, end of story.
You fateful also always want to dismiss the past, though I can’t fault you there. If my team had the history that yours does I’d want to forget it too. BUT, the history is there, and it’s not a pretty one. We have a REASON to believe that the Losers will fold in the end. It’s not undocumented critism, “dude”.
As for this season, it’s also well documented that away from the Dump the Losers are mediocre at best. Take them out of the little sandbox they play in, and they’re just another so so team. And your injury excuse just doesn’t hold water, “dude”. The Cards have had many more injuries than the Scubbies, and they’re hanging in. 4 guys out is nothing, “dude”. Take a look at the Cards injury list. Whining about injuries is another thing I hate about the Scub fateful.
There’s always some excuse.

SOXFANFOREVER is decent and made a thoughtful post and to that I thank you for laying off the smack talk and actually using your brain before you post. Posts like this generally prove Sox fans are far more knowledgeable and passionate about the game of baseball than Cubs fans who just go to Wrigley to get drunk and hit on people.
And CARDSFAN, you’re a piece of shit. You have to mock me by quoting something I said numerous times (even though I only said it once) like the douchebag you are. “Take them out of the sandbox they play in and they are just another so so team.” So I guess you think the Red Sox & White Sox are just so so teams as well? I suppose the Giants are far better than the Cubs and Red Sox and White Sox cuz they’re .500 on the road as opposed to at least 5 games under for all three of those supposedly so-so ballclubs.

I got to ruin a Scubby fan’s day today. He came in all puffed up, talking his shit, saying too bad the Cards fell one more behind the mighty mighty Scubbies. I said ?????????, what are you bleating about, sheep? The Cards won last night. He said no they didn’t, Mike and Mike said that they lost. I said well, there’s one of your problems right there, listening to those two idiots. The Cards won and are are still on the Losers’ stubby little tails. He was very despondent and went off in a huff. It was a nice little chat all in all.
