Cubs breaking records

Cubs Suck News, John Lieber, Lou Pineilla, Records, Rich Hill — By webmaster on Thursday, May 8, 2008

Now that was fun.  I go to Buffalo Wild Wings over lunch yesterday to watch a bit of the Cub game… So I happen to be there during that 2nd inning.  Yikes - that was pathetic!  Leiber gave up 4 bombs in the 2nd inning alone which was a franchise record for one inning off of one pitcher (I’d hope).  The Reds went on to bomb the Cubs 9-0 and hit 7 HR’s off of their pitching.  Nasty!

So let me get this straight Lou.  You can take out Rich Hill in the 1st inning after giving up 1 run and no hits (sure, 5 walks sucks but still).  But when Lieber gives up 3 bombs in the 2nd inning alone you can’t take him out?  You have to wait til #4 gets rocketted into the bleachers?  And add insult to injury - Lieber was Hill’s replacement in the rotation when Lou sent him down to the minors.  Brilliant move as usual Lou-ser.  Something tells me you won’t be popping the champaign again this year!

It doesn’t surprise me in the least! The cubs are still the flubs!

Go Go White Sox and whoever plays the cubs!

a picture of Lou Piniella celebrating with a bottle of Champagne after clinching a division doesn’t exactly help your “Cubs Suck” case

what, no picture of sour lou holding up a world series trophy? if you ever see one like that, somebody has doctored it up. what’s the deal with you, dodger? got a soft spot for losers and the mentally challenged. you picked the right team to speak up for. you prove just how weird the west coast really is.

Dodger sounds like a transplanted sheep. Hey Dodge! Winning the division was only the first step. Getting swept out by a team that in turn got swept out of the NLCS doesn’t say much for Sour Lou OR the Losers. But you keep on preachin’, Bubba.

Seems like you might like this little site that you just “stumbled on” more than you will admit.

Clinching the worst division in MLB……what an accomplishment!! cough cough, choking on the sarcasm .

hey white rat, you just proved every theory every californian has about midwesterners, theyre ignorant, most of them fat, and probably haven’t left their home state.

and I’m on this site to defend Cubs fans because atleast they’re not a bunch of angry fucks like you guys.

and if that, by any chance was an attempt to make Lou Piniella look like a drunk, you obviously have forgotten your skipper Tony LaRussa who got arrested for a DUI in Spring training of last year, and somehow got a free pass.

then you have that moron Scott Spiezio who i will applaud the Cards front office for not giving him a free pass either.

Then you have Josh Hancock, RIP, but you cant forgive him for drinking and driving

and by the way, sweeping the Arizona Diamondbacks is something to be said. i applaud them for that. Thats a true feat

then you have Tony LaRussa who seems to condone steroid use, judging by how many cardinals were named on the mitchell report and his attitude on that issue, and his fluke world series title in 2006

Looks like we hit a nerve. You’re a hoot, Dodger.

Most likely the sheep don’t even want you defending them, and were you aware that Chicago is in the midwest? In essence you (according to your theory) are defending ignorant, fat, homies, and your grammar is about the same as the sheeps’. Makes one ask just WHO is the ignorant one here. Actually, I correct myself. There’s no question. I KNOW who is the ignorant one.

yeah but Cards fans are more of the fat, uneducated, rednecks from middle america. Chicago is actually a nice city.

and by the way, i didn’t know this was an english paper.

if you would have read the post webmaster put up instead of just looking at the picture, you would noticed there was no mention of sour lou being a drunk. do you rush to this site after jumping off the orange county short bus? you may not be aware, but your adopted team’s fanbase call themselves the “lovable losers”! must make you feel right at home, huh?

“Yeah, but”??? Oh no, it was “yeah but”. Sorry, I inadvertantly put in the punctuation. Anyway, you say “yeah but” as if you agree with me except that you think the Cards fans are more of the same.

Do you realize how stupid that makes you seem? Nah, “prolly” not.

Hey dodgersin08:
The Dbacks may have been swept by the cubs, but what about your dodgers getting swept by Houston and not being able to gain ground on the slumping D-Backs who are still in 1st place? Hmmmm?

Comment by soxfanforever

May 13, 2008 @ 11:07 pm

Furthermore, dodgersin08 (LOL), you don’t seem to understand that this how the cubs are; they beat a team that swept them out of the playoffs the following year and think they have revenge (another example, when the 85 cubs won the season series against the Padres after the Pods and Steve Garvey beat them for the pennant in ‘84). Now when the D-Backs knock the cubs out of the playoffs again this year, the sheep(cub fans) will still be crying their eyes out!

One more thing, We’re not angry. We just like making fun of the flubs and their fans! Like I strated previously, they’re screaming out to be made fun of!

By the way, I just checked the standings, and the dodgers have just lost 5 straight. Maybe this is why dodgersin08 is spending so much time here. is this what you do when your own team sucks almost as bad as the cubs?

is this dodgies connection with the scrubs? both ronnie woo woo and tommy lasorta claim to bleed blue! he must have a boy-crush on these two icons of baseball. and i believe his hate of all things cardinal goes back to our kicking L.A.’s asses in ‘04!

the problem you guys have is you let your personal hatred for a team cloud your judgement. You think they suck even though they are one of the NL’s elite this year. you can’t deny that

dodgersin08:
It seems to me that YOU are the angry one! What part of “it’s all in fun” can’t you understand? Perhaps this is what happens when your team continues to lose 5 or 6 games in a row like your sorry dodgers have been doing! As far as the “flubs” it’s a nickname for the sorry small bears for how they blow games and seasons as they have for the past 100 years. They always find a way to “flub” it up, you half-wit! Which is also why I’m not worried about their current success. It’s only a matter of time before the cubs(flubs) and nature take their course!

Soxfanforever has hit the nail, as they say. No matter what the “flubs” (I call them Scubs-same thing, it’s just to get a rise out of the sheep and apparently you too) do in the division, at some point they will find a way to blow the whole deal. Have you ever actually paid any attention to them over the years before you “stumbled on” this site? Guess not, or you would have figured it out before now.

Yep, you’re the one who’s getting all pissy and puffed up, not us. We enjoy ticking off Scubby sheep, whether lifetime fateful or just someone defending them. Actually, the more you huff and puff the more amusing you become.

Funny how you ask me if this is English class when I critique your grammar, but you tell us we’re second graders and childish for calling the Losers Scubs/flubs. Sounds like typical Scubby sheep doublethink to me. Are you SURE you’re a Dodger fan and not a sheep in disguise?

you say wiggley field is a much cooler ballpark than some of the newer parks? have you ever been to the dark hole? if you had ever visited this dump you would be singing a different tune. it’s one of the sorriest examples of a ballpark ever built. be sure and get a seat under the falling concrete. and don’t forget a trip to the 19th century restrooms. it’s a smell you’ll never forget.

I was trying to stay out of this but you went over the line with:

“and as a baseball fan, Wrigley Field is a much cooler ballpark than some new park that they overdid like Busch Stadium”

Oh Lord… Don’t even get me started on what a dump that place is. If you enjoy sitting directly behind foul poles, having drunks spill beer down your back all game, and having chunks of concrete fall on you - then yes - it’s a great place to be. But to watch baseball, it’s horrid!

Wrigley is the dankest hole I’ve ever seen. All Dodger and others who’ve never been there know about the Dump is that the ivy looks pretty on the outfield wall, though even that is a personal opinion (mine happens to be that ivy is just a common weed). One trip to Baseball Hell, and they would change their minds in a heartbeat.

Wrigley Field Sucks! It has lousy concessions (even cub fans admit that Sox Park has better food), shitty outdated facilities, a small crappy concourse, and lousy vantage points not to mention the falling concrete and no place to park around it. Wrigley Field is the most OVERRATED ballpark in the majors; it’s a cesspool!

Just a quick comment on the “worst division” thing. If you weren’t aware, Central division teams have been the NL champions for the last 3 of 4 seasons with one winning the WS. Of course the Losers won the division last season, so that put a quick stop to that, but the putdown of the NL Central lacks substance.
