FanDuel Fantasy Football Championship

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses

The Cubs fell once again to the Houston Astros on Tuesday afternoon. They lost 4-2 and their so-called “best lineup in baseball” didn’t perform again. The Cubs have now fell into very familiar ground – last place. lou_thumbs_up.jpgLosing their last 3 games and 0-2 at home. Most teams just fight through and talk about how they need to play better… Not the Cubs. They always seem to come up with some kind of excuse. Check this out…

“I was telling our general manager today, the way we’re put together as a team, if we play in 40-degree (weather) all year, I don’t think we’re going to do very well because we don’t have that type of team,” Piniella said. “We have more power in our lineup. We need to bang it a little more, and once the weather warms up, we will.”

Come on now Lou! It’s your 8th game as Cubbie manager – don’t start this crap already. Why is this 40-degree weather any different for your team than it is for the rest of the teams? Just come to the realization that this team sucks and will never win anything; and the year will be much more enjoyable for ya!

Cub haters! Talk smack about the terrible Cubs on our Facebook Page!

This website is awfully pointless. And that’s coming from a White Sox fan. All you Cubs haters (some Sox fans) are a bunch of whiney jerks, why don’t you just root for your own team and leave the poor Cubbies alone. They suffer enough without having assholes like you stuffing this down their throats all the time. Likewise, I hate Cubs fans who just despise the White Sox for no apparent reason other than “they’re the other team in Chicago”. Cubs fans, I’ll agree, generally have less baseball knowledge than the average Sox fan. They also tend to be more “trendy” and therefore annoying. But there are some alright Cubs fans out there. There’s assholes from each side. You don’t have to get along, but do you really have to root the other team to lose?

Other NL Central fans fine (Cards, Stros, etc), but AL Central White Sox fans? When they play each other, root for your team and trash the other. That’s fine. But come on…it’s stupid to root the other team to failure. When I’m at the Cell and the score says the Cubs lost, people cheer. Lets focus on our own team and get another championship rather than hope for the failure of a team not even in our freaking league.

Wow, Tom, you are taking this website way too seriously. This is all in fun, it’s not like we are saying to go and beat up Cubs fans. You need to relax and learn to laugh a little.

Yes, I suppose I did overreact. It’s really frustrating seeing some of the inter-city hate though (being from Chicago). I have seen violence over this, really nasty words being said, etc. Some people take it too far. Sorry if I offended you.

Tom… Thanks for the comment. This site really just kinda happened. Wasn’t planned – just started as a collection of funny jokes and cub stuff – and grew into this :)

I’d say most of us spend 95% of our time rooting for our teams (go cardinals) and the other 5% rooting against the cubbies ;)

    It’s all in fun.

LoL. I’m watching the game now. I can’t hate the cubbies…they just suck too much to be hated. I just feel bad for them. Zambrano has a 5-0 lead, they get absolutely TORCHED and give up six runs. They’re going to lose 6-5 to the reds. I can’t understand how people can hate them…they’re just so damn awful, you almost have to root for them!

Well Tom, you’re entitled to your opinion, and I will consider what you said. Hang on a sec…nah sorry, I still hate the Scubs and will continue to bash and trash them until they win the WS. In other words, I’ll never quit.

I don’t feel sorry for them. They’re supposed to be professionals. They get paid big bucks to fumble and stumble and falter season after season. I don’t feel sorry for their fans. No one makes them follow the Losers. I DO feel sorry for the 1% of Scubby fans who DO care and DO have some baseball knowledge. Will that do? It’ll have to.

The only reasons most Cubs fans come up to Miller Park is to get drunk and scream, “Effffff the Brewers.” I agree with you Cardsfan, it seems like only 1% of Cubs fans actually care.

You all know nothing about being a CUBS fan.

You talk sooo much shit because we started off bad, but now you should hold your fucking tounges.

The Cubs are doing damn well right now with a 5 game winning streak and looking real good doing it.

The cards need to take their pathetic asses and shut the hell up

While the brewers will never last at the top….

The cubs are doing too well for you to talk shit anymore….thats why your hating seems to have deceased..

Get a life and seriously…you guys hate our team…the cubs more than you like yours…and that is a fact

    have a wonderful day.

Jamie has issues…..and doesn’t have a clue of what he/she is talking about. I love the White Sox way more than I hate the Cubs…and I do not need to cuss when I talk about it…..
