Kendall Boo Boy
It didn’t take long for the Chubby faithful to boo their new starting catcher. While they cheered him during his first at bat – just 4 innings into the game when Kendall couldn’t make a tough play at the plate – they booed him. Then when he came up in the 4th – they booed him. Fans booed again in the 8th when he lost a ball in the lights. Way to welcome your new catcher Cub fans. I’m sure he is real excited to be in trash-ville. He DID just get off a plane from another team and jump right into your ugly uniforms. No excuses though – keep on booeing and drive another guy out of town!
And by the way. The almighty Cubs lost the game and fell 4.5 out of first place. What happened to 20 in a row? It’s fun to be back!

Pride came before the fall cubs fans…

However, as I have recently said, the Cardinals are still competing despite losing 16 players over the course of the year…some of which they have lost more than once.

the cards lost 16 players, huh? the cubs have basically no players that they had in 2003. No Sosa, no alou, no prior, no wood (yet), no pudge. The cards are a joke this year. What an embarrassing follow-up to a championship season; I would be bitter too. They’ll be 10 games back by mid-august and they’ll fall deeper and deeper; when they do, you know, “pride comes before the fall”.

yah, the cards are a joke and wont come close to making the playoffs. the brewers pitching is now screwed while the cubs have one of the best rotations in the league. by the end of august the cubs will lead MIL by at least 3 or 4 games, and lead STL by at least 10. better luck next year, cards fan.
