No-No NOOOO
I bet nobody here thought CubsSuckClub would actually have a post the day after a no hitter. But you were wrong. We dislike the Cubs – strongly! But, we aren’t so hateful that we can’t appreciate a great performance when we see it. Congrats to Carlos Zambrano for pitching his first ever no hitter last night against the Houston Astros. As most of you know, it was a bit odd as it was a home game for the Astros but was being played at Miller Park in Milwaukee. I don’t think it matterered where they played this game, Big Z was just dealin. We have given him his fair share of crap over the years – but now we will give him a little props. JUST FOR NOW! We will wait for the giant choke in the playoffs to give him some more crap. For now, Carlos Zambrano has a no hitter under his belt and deserves a clap.
On another note, the funny thing about this was that in most areas this was THE ONLY Cub game all year that was not on television. Haha… Oops. Maybe the Tribune Co. should consider keeping all games off the air if they have this result.

Sorry, webmaster, but I must respectfully disagree with you. Zambrano is an out of control idiot that should have been strongly disciplined last year for beating up a teammate. Instead he is allowed to continue his antics. When Crior got a broken bone in his arm from a batted ball I sent him an email, via the Cubs, wishing my well wishes. However, Caveman Carlos is nothing but a thug that I have zero respect for. Yes, Carlos deserves THE clap.

Plus, it is a no hitter but it was also against a team that had been through a very tough time worried about their homes and families.

Did you really just blame the no hitter on a Hurricane? That is so sad, I truly feel sorry for you. You must be really depressed.

“also against a team that had been through a very tough time worried about their homes and families”
I feel sorry for the people hurt by the hurricanes. I’m sure there many other players on other teams that have family in those areas. We just don’t hear about them.

Headline from Chicago Suntimes
Ozzie plays disrespect card
After ANOTHER bullpen COLLAPSE, manager turns his focus on the Cubs
Boohoo, the Cubs get all of the attention in Chicago.
Nobody cares that the Sox are in a pennant race. Boohoo, Cubs, Cubs, Cubs. Nobody is paying any attention to the Sox.
Someone please give Ozzie a tissue and tell him to blow his nose.

Hey Sheepboy25,
Read the Astros manager’s comments, if you can, while you are eating your Fruity Pebbles. Come back when you have some good material.

I’ve been away for a few days, and I see our ol’ pal okimadelusionalidiot hasn’t gotten rid of her diarrhea mouth!
The Sox hstill have a World Championship as we speak, the flubs STILL haven’t done anything yet!
Someone give HER a roll of toilet paper and tell her to go wipe her butt, if she even knows which end is which!
GoGo White Sox and whoever plays the cubs (flubs)!

Well here’s the thing, I do think that Zambrano is an excellent pitcher and deserves respect for his no-hitter, which by the way the White Sox and Cardinals both had four no-hitters in the time it took the Cubs to achieve one. But you know, they like to take their time with things.
But yeah, I’d unfortunately have to agree that Ozzie is a dumb fuck for whining about not being as popular as the Cubs. In order to be that popular, you gotta have over 20 tv stations throughout the nation, a Superstation cable channel, more than 10 newspapers and a radio station, and a whole nation to feel sorry for you.
And that takes about 100 years to build, Ozzie.

Record for Zambrano how? It wasnt the shortest outing or most runs given up.
