Todd Wellemeyer is irritating this year, but I have more resent towards LaRussa and Dave Duncan for stubbornly trotting him out there every 5th day to put the cardinals in a position to lose. They continue to make excuses about there “not being a better internal option,” when Boggs has given up only 1 ER in 22IP in Memphis in his last 3 starts. I’d say that’s better. At the very least, nobody else can be worse.

1:32pm: According to Steve Stone of WSCR Chicago, the Tigers have shown some level of interest in Cubs outfielder Milton Bradley. The rumor isn’t being reported by any other source, and with Carlos Guillen back in the fold in Detroit, it doesn’t make a ton of sense. Perhaps Bradley could serve as the Tigers’ DH. We’ll keep you updated if the rumor grows any more legs.

2:47pm: MLB.com’s Jason Beck tweets, “Milton Bradley to Tigers? Not happening. According to one source, his name hasn’t come up in Tigers discussions all year.”

3:01pm: Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune reports “there has been no conversation with any team about Bradley.” We can probably now put these rumors to rest.

You have them pegged, brewersin08. I usually just read, but occasionally I have to comment just to watch them sizzle. Even a three word sentence can get them going. Funny.

The announcers yesterday kept saying they didn’t understand why someone near the guy with the pointer didn’t turn him in. Well duh, the people sitting where they could see who was doing it were most likely WITH him. Sometimes, well a lot of the time, I think McCarver is an idiot.

What’s this trade rumor involving Parker Bros that the sheep are bleating about? Anyone heard anything? Also, the sheep are still hopeful of obtaining Halliday, but Hendry (the genius) doesn’t have anything to give up. Just more Scub Fantasyland dreams I guess.

yeah oldphart is a personal favorite of mine over there. he seriously thinks the cubs are so much better than the cards, brewers, and astros. i never troll on there though i just laugh at their stupidity the 3 types of cubs fans though are the overpositive my team can do no wrong fans, the negative doom and gloom fans who overreact to every loss and every slump a player goes through, and the frat boy type fan who just goes to wrigley to drink and taunt fans and players from the other team and pay no attention to the game

haha, yeah they won’t make a big move. they can’t. their minor league system is garbage and they can’t add payroll due to the sale. the cubs are as as good as they’re going to be at this point, and they’re in the easy portion of their schedule — while st louis is in their hardest.

in other news — well, not really, they did throw batteries at JD Drew — Philadelphia is the new wrigley field. even flub fans haven’t (yet) stooped as low as to shine laser pointers into the batter’s eyes during an at-bat. just pathetic.

it’s funny how it doesn’t dawn on them that hendry”the genius” has them locked into bad contracts for sorry-a-hole, milty badley, cavey. i hear them at work talking about some out of this world deal the scrubbies are going to make. can’t wait for the trade deadline to pass with the “genius” sitting on his hands and telling the sheep all will be well by season’s end!
