Over a Century of Bad Chicago Cubs Baseball

Sports Illustrated curses the Cubs again

100 Years of Suckiness, Cubs Suck News, Kosuke Fukudome, Sports Illustrated — By webmaster on Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Sports Illustrated is at it again. We are pretty sure their feature writers are Cardinal/White Sox fans. We all remember a few years back when they had the SI magazine curse on the Cubs. Well, check out the upcoming Sports Illustrated magazine cover with the headline: “It’s Gonna Happen”… LOL! Another year of disappointment is in the works I do believe. Fukudome is solid - but far from enough to break this 100 year curse. Be sure to pick up your copy of this magazine when it comes out as a reminder of why the Cubs truly are cursed!

The Losers don’t need any help in sucking, but thanks PI for piling on. It must really suck to be a Cub fan.

it’s amazing that in this day and age people would follow a team of perennial losers year after year. back when there wern’t so many teams, i could understand why, kinda. there are graveyards full of sheep who thought they would see the scrubbies win the big one.

We’re not bandwagoners. Is that so hard to understand? We stand by our team, like true sports fans should.

guest, i never called anyone bandwagoners. i just mentioned that it’s hard to understand how anyone would stick with a team that fails them time and time again. with so many other options out there, you would think a true fan would see the folly of following a year after year loser and back someone that wins once and a while.

The majority (90%) of the “Cubs fans” are not even baseball fans…..they are fans of getting drunk at Wrigley….which I don’t understand. They are not “true sports fans” as Guest would like us all to believe. If you asks them any questions about the team, most can’t even answer. The Tribune Companies did a great job brainwashing hundreds of thousands of people into believing what a great team the Cubs are, that there is such a thing as a loveable loser, that Wrigley Field is the best place in the world. It is one of the most disgusting places on earth.

Guest will dispute that. Will have no facts to back it up, but he’ll dispute it anyway in true Scub fanlike fashion. Anyway, even if they were the “best” fans in baseball, it just shows their sheeplike tendencies. I would rather be the worst fans in baseball and have a winning team with a winning history than the best fans in baseball with a team whose claim to fame is 100 years of futility.

I don’t know how anyone could ever claim that the Cubs fans are the “best fans” in baseball. They cheer for a broken bat, even though the runner is out. They really have no clue of what is going on because either they are drunk or just ignorant. Probably both! When I go out and wearing a Sox hat or shirt, some smartass Cubs “fan” will try and belittle me. I will start by asking them questions about their team and other teams in baseball, they usually can’t answer. Then they come back with some remark about how Cubs sells more tickets than the Sox….OOOOOO, good arguement. Sheep are so stupid.

The inhabitants of Wrigley Field do not represent the Cubs fanbase. Generalizations for the lose.

And never once did I say we are the best fans in baseball.

watching a scrub game on t.v. is like watching a commercial for cell phones and dog-style beer.
