Starting to Meltdown

Cubs Suck News — By webmaster on Saturday, April 14, 2007

czamb.jpgUh oh - look out. The good ole Cubbies are back again with another classic loss. This time - Lou Piniella is starting to understand that this team really is - BAD! After their 6-5 loss on Friday Lou was asked what ‘wasn’t working’ and he responded,

“What the hell do you think isn’t working? You see the damn game,”

Whoa Lou. A simple “Our bats aren’t working” or “Not a good loss, but we’ll bounce back” would have done just fine. Starting to get agitated Lou? He goes on to say.

“And then I bring in the reliever who’s throwing 30-to-40-foot curveballs to boot. I can see. I can start to see some of the ways this team has lost ballgames. I can see it. We’ve got to correct it obviously. … This game here is one that got away from us that really shouldn’t.”

Yep… I can start to see how they’ve lost ballgames too. You weren’t able to see this before that game? Hmmm. Zambrano basically imploded in this one giving up 6 in the top of the 5th including two bases loaded walks. Ouch. The ‘ACE’ of this team sure isn’t performing at 1-2 and a near 8.00 ERA! Better give him his money management!!!

The Cubs take on the Reds again at 12:05 on Saturday.

How bad will it get with Ramirez out now? Theriot is doing what I thought he would, but where the hell is all that offense from Soriano? Right now, Cubs have no offense.

Yeah with Errormis out things get even tougher on the cubbies. Soriano will be fine I’m sure - it’s gotta be the weather ;)
