Wood down again
Surprise, surprise, surprise. Wood is back on the DL yet AGAIN. The Cubs place Kerry Wood on the 15 DL today. Wood commented,
“I’m not injured; I didn’t hurt anything,” he said. “I think it’s something that kind of comes along with having shoulder surgery. I’ve had a little bit of a tough time recovering and getting this thing ready to go every fifth, or sixth or seven days sometimes.”
“Take the time to get it right, right now, and get back before the all-star break and finish the season healthy.”
Yeah right. We’ve heard this story before. When do the Cubs give up on this guy? I’d be looking to salvage any trade value there might be for him now, before he’s out of the league due to injuries!
