Maybe not yet, but it will hit that iceburg anytime now. Whether cub fans want to admit it or not, their team has peaked too early!

Can you say “1969 Revisited”?

sinking by the D-Rays at the moment!
then the SOX will demolish them
then fuckadumbass and lee will get injured
then their gay-ass pitchers

then the fans will be screaming “its been 100 years, were goin to the World Series!”
ill be “they dont let minor league teams into the WS!!”
and the Brewers win the division with the Cards takin Wild Card

The sad thing is the fact that the Cards have 11 men on the DL, several have just been activated from the DL, and they are still only 3.5 games out!

ok1290:

F*&K you! We gave you clowns that game, I admit. However, we still have 5 games left. When your flubs STILL don’t make the World Series, and you fans are bawling your little eyes out, I’ll be back to give you a personal HA HA! Besides, we still have the ultimate bragging rights in way of the winner of the only crosstown World Series!

Go Go White Sox and whoever plays the cubs (flubs)

It’s still only a matter of time before the flubs and nature take their course.

To Soxloser4ever: I had to respond to your WRONG comment when you said, “then the SOX will demolish them”. Didn’t happen. My comment was the truth. Hey if you missed the game, go to MLB.com. You can watch the game winning homer over and over again. It was way cool, trust me.

DJ: ?????
Hawk: You can put in on the boarddd, YESSSS!

DJ: The final is Cubs 11 Sox 7. Hawk it’s time to name your Sox player of the game.
Hawk: Well DJ today’s pick is an easy one. I’m going Jose Contreras who gave the Sox a solid 3.1 innings and walked only 2 batters.
DJ: ????
Hawk: He threw only 72 pitches and should be fresh for his next start.
DJ: ahh Hawk…He gave up 10 hits, 9 earned runs and 3 homers.
Hawk: ….
Hawk: DAGGUMMIT!!!
DJ: What a dope! I wonder if Singleton can get me an ESPN gig too!

Reason why whitesoxloser4life is a moron. His quote,
“Go Go White Sox and whoever plays the cubs (flubs)”
Hypothetical situation:
Cubs and Twins play an interleague series in June. Game 3 is rained out. It’s the final day of the season. The Cubs and Twins finally get to play. If the Twins win, the Sox finish 2nd and do not make the playoffs. According to soxloser4life, he would root for the Twins. You are a friggin moron!

AHHHHH! I see you haven’t disappointed me! The flubs (THAT’S RIGHT! THE FLUBS) win a couple of games, and you delusional fans come out of the woodwork like the cockroaches you are! OH! Where to start with the rebuttals. O.K>
Bob:
If anybody bends over and takes it naturally, it’s STILL your cubs as they have for the past 100 years!

ok1290 or okimadelusionalidiot:
NO! youdidn’t hurt my feelings! First of all I’ve at least seen my team win a world series! Second, your flubbies STILL haven’t done anything yet! Third if and when your cubs blow the division, it will be because they can’t beat the teams in their own division! Just wait and watch the cubs lose it against teams they least expect to. Then when St. Louis leapfrogs over them and takes the division,

HAPPY 100 ANNIVERSARY cub fans!
THE LOSING TRADITION CONTINUES!

Did you ever read what I wrote? HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION jackass! Oh, you don’t know what a big word like that means. Put down your beer and the snotty (full of tears) hankie. Someday the Cubs will play AL central teams! I know they already have. You are a DOPE if you want the Cubs to lose to them.

ps- thank Ozzie for his great handling of his pitchers the last 2 games. Today, he should start Jenks. He’s a great pitcher and the Cubs probably won’t score in the first inning.

Comment by soxfanforever

To southsideblue (your parents have disowned you, right?):

Oh, we’re so tough and smart with our cute comments and name calling. You’re a cub fan and YOU want to challenge my intelligence? (LOL).
However, just a couple of ways to shoot holes in your hypothetical.
1. If the cubs and twins did have to make up a rained out game, it would not likely wait until the end of the season. Postponed games are usually made up on the next available days off for both teams.
2. The White Sox have never been in a situation where they needed the cubs to beat another team to make the playoffs. Before you say anything, I KNOW WHAT YOU PUTUP IS A HYPOTHETICAL SITUATUION, DUMBASS, BUT IT’S NOT LIKELY TO HAPPEN ANYTIME SOON!
3.What’s the sense in cheering for the cubs? They most likely won’t try to win anyway. All LouLou and his boys will do is piss and whine about how it’s such an inconvenience (it will keep them one more day off the golf course since they won’t be in the playoffs), and they’ll try to call up minor league players like they were gonna do in their Cooperstown game against the Padres.

Comment by Southsideblue

June 22, 2008 @ 1:37 pm

OK, last comment on this one.
hypothetical- based on assumption rather than fact or reality.
I know they probably wouldnt make up the game on the last day. My point is, you are so stupid, you would still root against the Cubs. If the Sox played St. Louis or Milwaukee, I would want the Sox to win. Are you really that ignorant or just too proud to admit you would root for the Cubs in my senario?

Comment by soxfanforever

To southsideblue(blew):

You think YOU”RE so smart with your cute little hypothetical to try to call me stupid. The thing is yes, it’s possible that such a scenario could happen but very unlikely. In regard to my line Go Go White Sox and whoever plays the cubs (flubs), I get it from the Southside Irish Song which has the line
“When it comes to baseball, we have 2 favorite clubs, the Go Go White Sox and whoever plays the cubs.” ANY REAL SOUTHSIDER WOULD KNOW THIS! Besides, the line is meant in general. And you call me a “dope” or a “friggin’ moron”? Compared to you, Jethro from the Beverly Hillbillies is a Rhodes Scholar!

Comment by soxfanforever

June 23, 2008 @ 12:33 am

One more thing: Yes, I admit being on the losing end of a sweep sucks, but a sweep is still nothing compared to the feeling of your team winning the World Series. Nothing blah blah about that. Southside benedict and all the other little flubbie fans will be plenty blah blah with excuses when the cubs do choke!

I will submit no more comments for the next 24 hours because I’ll be in real mourning over the death of GEorge Carlin, one of the greatest comedians that ever lived. He died today (June 22, 2008) of apparent heart failure. He will be missed.

We were robbed of the win on Friday because of 2 bad calls. Cabera hit a home run but the umps are blind…..way too many bad calls this year with several teams. Are they trying to strengthen the arguement for instant replay?
The Cubs did out play us on Saturday and Sunday. Remember…….this wasn’t the World Series Cubs fans…..but it is probably the closest that you will ever get.

Comment by Southsideblue

June 23, 2008 @ 11:10 am

I really don’t give a crap about the 100 years thing.
I’ve been a fan for 36 years. Astros, Indians and Giants fans have waited longer than that.

From Sox website on mlb.com
Replays of that particular Cabrera shot, studied in the White Sox clubhouse after the game, showed the ball hitting something near the left-field foul pole. If it hit the pole, then it would have been a home run. But neither third-base coach Jeff Cox, Guillen nor Cabrera argued at the time, and the replay was inconclusive.
Quit crying!

“I’ve been a fan for 36 years. Astros, Indians and Giants fans have waited longer than that.”

Who cares about Astros, Indians, and Giants fans anyway?

I’ve been a Cardinals fan for well over 40 years, and I’ve waited…oh yeah, nevermind. Actually, in my lifetime the Cards have won 4 titles. Ah yes, life IS good.

100 years blah blah blah…

Comment by gogashousegang

haha And we’ve won those four titles in the slower period of our history…6 of em were within 21 years!

Comment by Southsideblue

June 23, 2008 @ 8:28 pm

Not going to argue with you Cardfan. Just giving my perspective on the 100 years thing. I’m quite sure there are a lot of people out there who care about the teams I mentioned.

Comment by cardsfan

June 24, 2008 @ 5:18 am

True, there ARE people who care about those teams, but be honest. Are you one of them? Me neither. The Cards, Scubs, and Sox (the White type) are the only teams I give a hoot about. And I don’t care what the pundits say about the Red Sox and Yankees, the rivalry between the Cards and Scubs is the best rivalry in baseball, with the Scubs/White Sox a really close second.

Comment by bob

June 24, 2008 @ 10:32 am

Although this is hard to say I agree with Cardsfan. The entire Yankee and Red Sox thing is blown out of proportion just like everything else on the East coast.

Comment by kstolz

June 24, 2008 @ 10:44 am

The Cubs are blown out of proportion on everything. The Tribune Companies marketing department did a great job in the 80’s and told the sheep they must follow, so they did. Only the strong turned away and went with the better team, the White Sox.

Comment by gogashousegang

June 24, 2008 @ 1:08 pm

Yeah, I passionately hate the Red Sox/Yankees drama.

Comment by Southsideblue

June 24, 2008 @ 4:00 pm

kstolz, what the hell are you talking about? Smart people turned away (during the 80’s) and rooted for the better team? If that was the case, then they wouldnt have switched to the White Sox. Neither team did much in the 80’s. The Sox won 1 division title and the Cubs 2. How did that make the Sox the “better team”. It didnt and you’re completely wrong. Now if you said some Cub fans jumped on the 2005 bandwagon, then you would be probably correct. Are you speaking from personal experience as a former Cub fan?

Comment by soxfanforever

June 24, 2008 @ 10:26 pm

Back after some time away to mourn the death of my favorite comedian George Carlin. George will be missed. He pointed out the truth, and he wasn’t afraid to say it. I’m VERY surprised, when I think about it, that he never did any material about the cubs and their fans. Of course, when he did mention something about Dan Quayle (in one of his shows back in the 90’s) he could easily have been talking about cub fans(or interchanged them for Quayle). Just like Quayle, cub fans ARE STUPID, FULL OF SHIT, AND FUCKIN’ NUTS!

Comment by soxfanforever

Oh, and one more thing, okimadelusionalidiot, southsideblew, and all you little cubbie yahoos, your little home win streak got snapped tonight! Yeah sure, you’ll blah blah yourselves about “we swept the Sox.” However, as KSTOZ said, this is as close to the World Series as you’re gonna get! Just wait ’til it all falls apart-there’s your “it’s gonna happen.”

Go Go White Sox and whoever plays the cubs (flubs)!

A reminder to southsideblowhard, the phrase is meant in general, just so even YOU can understand it

Comment by Southsideblue

June 25, 2008 @ 12:27 am

GoGo White Sox, when they play the Cards, Brewers, Astros, Reds or Pirates. (in the inter league that is)

Really? It would have to be in interleague play? Well I’ll be darned…thanks for letting us know that.

Agree completely with SOXFANFOREVER. The sheep are so beside themselves and so freakin loud and arrogant about the Scubbies so far this season that it will be twice as funny as last season when the big implosion happens. Note to sheep: WHEN, not IF.
