I bet nobody here thought CubsSuckClub would actually have a post the day after a no hitter. But you were wrong. We dislike the Cubs – strongly! But, we aren’t so hateful that we can’t appreciate a great performance when we see it. Congrats to Carlos Zambrano for pitching his first ever no hitter last night against the Houston Astros. As most of you know, it was a bit odd as it was a home game for the Astros but was being played at Miller Park in Milwaukee. I don’t think it matterered where they played this game, Big Z was just dealin. We have given him his fair share of crap over the years – but now we will give him a little props. JUST FOR NOW! We will wait for the giant choke in the playoffs to give him some more crap. For now, Carlos Zambrano has a no hitter under his belt and deserves a clap.
On another note, the funny thing about this was that in most areas this was THE ONLY Cub game all year that was not on television. Haha… Oops. Maybe the Tribune Co. should consider keeping all games off the air if they have this result.
Here are some links to the Chubby faithful and their talks about the no hitter:
We’ll add some more links to this article as they come in. Congrats and lets hope the winning stops HERE! Go Everyone that plays the Cubs!
Come on Chubbies… This is your whooping grounds. At home vs. the minor league team called the Pirates. You can go into Milwaukee and hand it to them 4 in a row but then lose to the lowly Pirates at home?!?!? YIKES. Where are you Cub fans tonight? Huh? Anywhere? Just felt like trashing a bit so there you have it.
In other news. What do you guys think about Griffey to the Sox?
Cubs lose again. 8-2 at home to the Brewers. But like Master Lou, I know the answer – BAT Soriano to leadoff! Yeah, that’s it. That’s the problem. Him batting 2nd is why you are 0-2. Check out his quote:
“It’s something I’ve been thinking about since the end of Spring Training, and we’ll go with it,” Piniella said. “Soriano is running better. We’ll put him in the leadoff hole, where he’s more comfortable, and let him hit there.”
Whew… I was getting worried. Now the Cubs should be just fine!
On another note, anyone want to help us out and blog on Cubs Suck Club after Cub loses? Not every Cubs loss… But anytime there is some juicy material? Comment or email us at webmaster@cubssuckclub.com if interested.

It was the perfect start to the perfect season. Everyone in Chicago was geared up for this years so called, “contenders”, in the NL Central. Zambrano pitched a great game but left with some kind of an injury. Wow, what’s new… A Cub with a minor injury. The game was knotted up at zeros going into the ninth inning. Where is that ferocious Cubbie offense at? Kerry Wood, the newly acclaimed closer came into the game to keep in scoreless. Ooooops, Wood gave up an immediate 3. Time to start the “closer questions” in Cubbyville again.
Fukudome gave the Cubs a little false hope in the bottom of the ninth by smashing a 3 run bomb. False hope is about all that was as the BrewCrew got to Bob Howry in the top of the 10th and won the game 4-3. o-1 start for the Cubs… It’s going to be a fun year everyone!
Today is opening day for the 100 year losers Chicago Cubs. Sheets @ Zambrano. I think Brewers win this one 6-4. We’ll be doing a little live blogging during the opener. Check it below!
